Our Mission
To provide individuals of all ages with special needs; Missouri National Guard citizen-soldiers, airmen and retirees and family members; the opportunity to participate each year in an exceptional summer camp experience known as CAMP GUARDIAN.
Our Vision
To always ensure every Camp Guardian camp provides a safe, wholesome and highly enjoyable experience for each and every special needs camper whom we receive the extraordinary privilege to serve and celebrate.
Camp Guardian sessions accommodate a wide range of physical and developmental disabilities. Previous campers have included those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophy, Opitz syndrome, spina bifida, Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber (KTW) syndrome and traumatic brain injury.
Campers attend Camp Guardian for free! Everything (souvenir t-shirt, lodging, food, activities, awards, etc.) is provided at no cost to our special needs campers. An officially-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Camp Guardian Foundation receives 100% of its funding via private donations. Financial and in-kind gifts - the lifeblood of this organization - are tax-deductible and always very much appreciated!
Camp Guardian camps deliver an action-packed week filled with fun, education and wholesome activities. Campers enjoy a wide array of recreational enjoyments such as fishing, BB guns, arts and crafts, archery, paintball, swimming, nature programs, motor boat rides, canoeing, paddle-boating and off camp field trips. Evening festivities include pool parties, themed dances, hayrides and carnivals. Throughout the week, a talented kitchen staff serves scrumptious, made-from scratch meals, plus a qualified, on-site medical staff ensures all health-related needs are met.
